The high school program at Destiny School accompanies students through one of the most pivotal stages of their lives: the transition from childhood to adulthood. In this process, not only are academic skills consolidated, but also identity, character, decision-making abilities, and a vision for the future. 

Therefore, the high school program is designed to integrate knowledge, critical thinking, life skills, and spiritual foundations, preparing young people to face the challenges of today’s world with confidence and purpose.

Bilingual education: English – Spanish

In high school, bilingualism is strengthened as a key competency for academic and professional life. Students progressively use English in different areas of knowledge, developing the ability to understand, analyze, and communicate in both languages. This process allows them to thrive in international academic and cultural contexts, expanding their study opportunities and future prospects.

They understand complex concepts in greater depth

In high school, students move beyond simple ideas and begin to grapple with more abstract and complex concepts: theories, causes and consequences, relationships between ideas, text analysis, more advanced mathematical problems, and social and scientific phenomena.

Deeper understanding means that the student:

  • It goes beyond the basic definition of a topic
  • Understands how and why things work
  • Recognizes relationships between different concepts
  • Can explain content in their own words
Instead of memorizing a formula, students understand its purpose, when it applies, and what happens if the variables change. In social sciences, they not only learn historical facts but also analyze why they occurred and how they influence current reality. This strengthens their academic confidence and allows them to progress more independently in their learning process.

They relate what they have learned to real-life situations

This does not mean confrontation, but rather judgment.
